How to use this Nepal GPA calculator

1. Select SEE/Class 10 or +2 (NEB), then choose a stream where requested.
2. Add the listed subjects and choose Enter Exact Marks or Enter Letter Grades.
3. For a subject with theory and practical components, enter each component separately against the displayed maximum marks. Add or configure a subject if it is missing.
4. Read the overall GPA and grade as an estimate based on the completed subject entries.

Grade points and what the result means

The built-in percentage-to-grade-point bands below are reference bands used by this tool. For SEE, theory and practical marks are combined using their displayed maximum marks, then subject grade points are weighted by each subject’s total maximum marks. For Grades XI–XII, configured theory and practical grade points are weighted using the catalogue’s credit hours. The overall estimate is rounded to two decimal places. These describe the calculator’s implementation, not confirmation that every weight reflects current NEB policy.

• 90–100%: A+ (4.0)
• 80–<90%: A (3.6)
• 70–<80%: B+ (3.2)
• 60–<70%: B (2.8)
• 50–<60%: C+ (2.4)
• 40–<50%: C (2.0)
• 30–<40%: D+ (1.8)
• 20–<30%: D (1.6)
• 0–<20%: E (0.8)

Subject marks and important limitations

Marks distributions depend on the subject and level. The official NEB SEE assessment framework (April 2025) specifies 75 external and 25 internal marks for English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, and Social Studies. Some other subject and credit-hour details in the catalogue are historical or incomplete; their current applicability is not confirmed here. The calculator may use a four-credit default when a +2 subject has no component credit-hour values. Current subject combinations and all component pass thresholds are not fully verified or enforced.
